IMDB and Wikipedia credits the actress as Jiah Khan. But are IMDB and Wikipedia always right? After all anyone with an account on it can edit the details. And if it is monitored by someone responsible, how did they miss this?
Whatever happened is tragic. A beautiful and talented actress is taken away before time. And before her true potential could be realised. Our sympathies are with the family.
But is this girl Jiah Khan? Or is our typical Indian sentimentality taking over. Isn't it unfair to discredit someone for their work just to showcase our loyalty to someone else?
Despite the likeness, this little girl is Priya Parulekar. The film credits her in the end as the supporting cast. It is odd since they rightly credited her in Khamoshi. Also why doesn't the artist herself say something about it? It seems mostly because this actress has chosen to live a life away from limelight.
Jiah Khan's official debut is always dubbed as Nishabd. Where as by definition, a debut is the first screen appearance by the artist. Why is it not credited as Dil Se then?
The truth is Jiah Khan was growing up in London when this movie was made.
